Do I need any special equipment, shoes or clothing?
No, just some loose comfy clothing and suitable footwear. Some people wear jazz shoes or dance trainers whilst others prefer to work in bare feet. Bring a mat and a drink and you're ready to keep fit!
What should I wear?
Loose comfy clothing. Working in bare feet is preferable, but jazz shoes or dance trainers are also acceptable.
Will I be too old or too young?
KFA Classes suit all ages. Adult classes start at 16yrs and the age really is limitless. As long as you have a keen interest in keeping fit, it doesn't matter how old (or young) you are.
Classes can and are adapted to suit everyone.
Do I have to join the KFA to participate in your class?
It isn't compulsory, but if you join the KFA, at a current annual membership rate of £15.00, class fees are reduced for KFA Members. Please contact Viv for more information on discounted class rates.
If I have a physical disability, can I still join in?
Yes of course, but it would be helpful for me to know how this affects your movement ability, so that I can adapt the class to suit you.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, it's much more fun to join a class with a friend/relative - The more the merrier!
What will I achieve?
The list is endless, but specifically, we work on balance, posture, coordination, rhythmic ability, agility, flexibility, mobility and the cardio vascular systems.
Someone told me it is aerobics with a different name. Is this true?
No. It is fitness through movement, exercise and dance. We ensure the whole body is used and class members leave the class feeling invigorated and with a sense of achievement.
Why should I attend a KFA class?
A KFA Class will lead you to a healthier lifestyle and improve your self confidence and self esteem. It will change your life and you will wonder why you didn't find us years ago!
